Dear Resident,
A brief update on todays activities from your local Safer Neighbourhood Team;
We assisted Transport For London in a presentation and workshop at Alec Reed academy. The TfL Project Guardian sessions aim to raise awareness around sexual harassment on public transport. The presentations are split into sections: introduction and trigger warning, types of sexual harassment, common responses, active bystander interventions, and reporting methods. The sessions were well attended by students in Year 9, and were hopefully informative and engaging.
You may have noticed an increased Police presence on Greenford Broadway today. Officers have been patrolling local areas as part of the Metropolitan Police initiative Operation Verona, promoting awareness of the Met's initiative to combat Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
Please remember that you can report crime in several ways.
If it is an Emergency, where life or property are threatened, always call 999. For non Emergencies, call 101, or report online; Report a crime | Metropolitan Police
Call can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers; Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers
Fearless is another option for young people to report Crime anonymously; Fearless: Anonymous Reporting for a Safer Community | Crimestoppers
